Testimonials
I would like to express my personal thanks and
gratitude for performing at the Naval Air Station Miramar Air Show.
The 1997 Navy Air Show was an unqualified success. Your
performance played a major role in making the last Navy Air Show the
best and most memorable in it's 43 year history. Without question,
the 1997 Air Show was a fitting tribute to all the personnel whoever
served at Fightertown, USA.
Feedback from spectators, sponsors, and media has been
overwhelmingly positive. The world class quality of performers was
the major reason for the success of the show. This year's show
attracted in excess of 1,000,000 spectators, 300,000 of whom
attended the 4th annual twilight air show on Saturday. The NBC
station KNSD-TV broadcasted the show to approximately 66,000
households on Sunday.
Thanks again for your part in making the last Navy Air
Show at Miramar a great success. I look forward to working with you
in the future as we launch into a new era of air shows at Marine
Corps Air Station Miramar beginning in August of 1998.
My best wishes for a safe and successful air show season.
Sincerely,
Rick Soule

performance in the AT-6 Texan was a hit with the year's estimated
1.5 million spectators.
On behalf of M.C.A.S El Toro, thank you.
Sincerely,
